The Little Arts‘ was born out of the widely acclaimed Little Arts Festival, which we helped to organise in 2016. The essential idea of that project was to draw together local arts groups, artists and arts enthusiasts to create events and experiences for all the communities in and around Rushlake Green. And that is the spirit that’s at the heart of The Little Arts. We’re here, as an informal local forum, to encourage and promote local initiatives in all genres of music, visual arts, digital arts, performing arts, poetry, literature and craft-making.

How to be involved

If you are involved with any local arts initiatives, please get in touch so that we can help to spread the word. Please get in touch (you can still use TheLittleArtsFestival@gmail.com email address). All Friends of The Little Arts Festival will automatically become members/friends of The Little Arts.

Exploring The Energetic Body Through Life Drawing with Louise

December 11, 2016, 10:00am - December 11, 2016, 12:30pm

Exploring The Energetic Body Through Life Drawing with Louise Sunday, 11th December Time:10.00 pm – 12.30 pm Cost:£20 Working with an experienced life model, Louise will guide you through a variety of exercises specifically chosen to develop your visual connection and understanding of the Energetic Body and observing how the Bodymind and movement effects the energetic pathways of the body. Through various poses and the transitions between them, there is potential to develop the way you observe imbalances in the body, improving your understanding of how energy flows and where blockages can occur. If you are someone who works with the body this can help you to develop and improve your practice. Set in the Big Yurt at the beautiful Well Being Centre, this is a quiet and meditative class that explores observational drawing in a tranquil and mindful way. Suitable for anyone interested in the body, of particular interest to those who work with the body, dancers, bodyworkers and artists of all abilities and interests. No experience necessary, all materials will be provided. For further information and booking please contact Louise on 07876631505. Places are limited so booking is advisable.
