The Little Arts‘ is here to encourage and promote local music, visual arts, digital arts, performing arts, poetry, literature and craft-making – involving individuals, groups, activities and initiatives in and all around Rushlake Green. This website is intended to be continually in a state of flux, so please bear in mind that you’re viewing work in progress. All corrections and suggested changes/additions gratefully received.

– Pink Mist is a verse drama inspired by 30 interviews with returned servicemen and first staged at Bristol Old Vic in 2015
– It gives lyrical voice to the (fictionalised) experiences of three Bristol-raised soldiers caught up in the Afghan conflict, and the women – girlfriends, mothers – who have to pick up the pieces.

The exhibition will showcase the winning, shortlisted and commended images from the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards, and will also present a unique selection of images, books and film from legendary photographer Martin Parr. Bringing to London a complete celebration of photography - showcasing a variety of genres from Architecture, Daily life, Documentary, Landscape, Portraiture, Sports, Street Photography, Wildlife and many more ... With over 90 books of his own published, and another 30 edited by Parr, his photographic legacy is already firmly established. Parr has been a member of the Magnum agency since 1994 and is currently the President. In 2013 Parr was appointed the visiting professor of photography at the University of Ulster. Parr’s work has been collected by many of the major museums, from the Tate, the Pompidou and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. About the Sony World Photography Awards Marking its 10th anniversary in 2017, the Sony World Photography Awards showcases the best photography in the world from the past year. Free to enter and open to all photographers, the awards’ are an authoritative voice in the photographic industry, with the power to shape the careers of its successful photographers. Each year a total prize fund of $30,000 (USD) plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment is shared between winning photographers.
